cstMarch Roundup
by saberwolf on Mar.01, 2010, under Adventure, FPS, RPG, RTS
March Madness is upon us, and no, I’m not talking about NCAA basketball. March, seems to be the month that so many games demoed at E3 the year prior seem to poke their head out and appear on retail shelves. This month has so many goodies we figured we’d showcase some of the big names so you can start saving your couch change to purchase a few of them. Most of the video’s I’ve included are teaser trailers just to get you anxious but some include gameplay footage.
TAKE A LOOK!:
…on a side note, if your into the whole Red Steel concept (East meets West) check out: Sukiyaki Western Django. It’s a Western film done Kung-Fu style. Tarantino was involved, so it has to be good!
God of War III: ESRB Rated “M”, lol?
by saberwolf on Feb.26, 2010, under Adventure
The God of War (GoW) lineup has been a quality series for the Playstation brand for quite some time but the boys over at Sony are treating this latest rendition like no other. They set out to push the PS3 to it’s limits and apparently the ESRB too. This game takes gore to a whole new level: Decapitations, Impalement, Pulling off of finger nails; This could be the goriest game I’ve ever seen, which only makes me want to play it more. Gametrailers TV (GTTV) with Geoff Keighley did a showcase (gore fest) on this very game in their latest episode. It’s only 21 minutes and it covers a few other titles coming up this year but GoW looks so ridiculous I had to post it.
The guys over at NeoGAF have already started breaking the video down and making some SICK .GIF’s: Forum Thread. You can also download the raw .FLV HERE if you want to save it and watch it at your leisure, i.e. when your boss isn’t around.
Zero Punctuation: Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
by saberwolf on Aug.05, 2009, under Adventure, FPS
Zero Puntuation takes funny to a whole new level. This review is ZP’s 100th video and its, in my opinion the best one to date. Congratulations to Zero Punctuation and The Escapist Magazine for employing one of the funniest Brit’s I’ve ever encountered.
CheatCC Writes: “If you’ve been waiting for a great Western-themed shooter, then look no further than Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood. The gameplay is fun and varied, the story is entertaining, the visuals are well done, the voice acting is terrific, and the game even sports a respectable online offering. Fans of the original Call of Juarez should also be quite pleased, since Bound in Blood’s story provides insight into Reverend Ray’s past while improving upon almost every aspect of the previous title. So, if you’re a fan of the previous game, the Western theme, or are just looking for an alternative to killing aliens with space marines, be sure to give Bound in Blood a try.”
On another note The escapist is having a contest for the development of a Zero Punctuation game… i can’t wait to hear Yahtzee review to winner of this thing.
“Starting Wednesday, August 5th, 2009, The Escapist will be taking submissions for browser based Zero Punctuation games. Submissions will be valid from August 5th to October 19th. All submissions will then be judged over a 2 week period and the winner(s) will be announced the week of November 16th.”

Bionic Commando
by saberwolf on Jun.04, 2009, under Adventure, TPS
Okay guise, i don’t have any excuse for not posting in a couple of days other than i’m a lazy ass so to fill the cstGaming fans’ void I’m once again robbing a quality video off of the The Escapist. Today’s video is another Zero Punctuation classic about the latest in the Bionic Commando series.
IGN writes: “It’s been an incredibly long time since Nathan Spencer swung onto a console, and for the most part, his return is a solid one. Bionic Commando provides an updated adventure for the classic hero, sending him as a one man army against daunting odds to save the world once again. If you can look past the replayability issues that crop up due to the linear play, you’ll find an enjoyable adventure that easily re-establishes the franchise for Capcom. You’ve been out of duty for way too long, Spencer – Hopefully you’ll come back sooner than later.
Let’s see how Yahtzee feels about this title…
